Kiawah Island, South Carolina-The PGA Tour will relax the mask requirements for players at the Charles Schwab Challenge in Texas starting next week, and those who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 will no longer be required to wear them indoors Masks.
The player received a memo from the PGA Tour this week outlining the plan, which will allow fully vaccinated players to avoid wearing masks. Those who have not been vaccinated still need to wear masks indoors.
It has been announced before the Tour that fully vaccinated players will no longer need to be tested for COVID-19 every week. Those who have not been vaccinated must still be tested before the game week before they can be allowed to leave.
The tour will continue in the September Tour Championship after it first stated that it will stop its live test program. At that time, players who have not been vaccinated will need to test themselves.
